The annual Fiesta of Vendimia ( Mendoza Wine Festival ) in Mendoza is to be held between the 2nd and 11th of March this year. Within a specially constructed outside amphitheater with the magnificent Andes Mountains as the backdrop, it will be as popular as ever.
With 800 dancers and actors, local and international entertaining, ( including Julio Inglesias ) it will put a strain of Mendoza’s tourist accommodation for that week.
With over 800 wineries in the region it is the second most import activity in the province and one the locals are immensely proud of. With Argentina now being continually recognised as producing some of the best wine in the world, this industry can only continue to grow.
