Farmland sales and rentals increased by 18% in June, compared to May 2018 driven by the positive exchange rate stability and the rebound of the Governments popularity in recent surveys.
The rural farm price index that measures the level of activity in the rural real estate market (Incair) grew again once again in June and accumulates six consecutive months of increases, reported the Argentine Chamber of Rural Real Estate (Cair).
The indicator, which is based on the real estate operations carried out and surveys had an increase of 18% in June (46.54 points) compared to May (39.42 points).
The index value in June, in addition, is very similar to that of April of last year (46.02 points), before the sharp rise in the US dollar began and inflation accelerated. “The stability of the last 60 days, added to the growing chances of continuity of the current government, strokes positive expectations for the rural sector,” explained from Cair.
The rural valuation specialists in the organization consider that to sustain the economic stability it is necessary that the current activity of the rural real estate market “continues leaving behind eight years of relatively poor performance”.
