It is a huge property that has not been cultivated for 30 years.

An area of 400,000 hectares in the northwestern part of Argentina is up for sale.

Estancia Punta del Agua, the property is called, has not been cultivated for over 30 years and is a large contiguous area the size of the total agricultural area in Zealand, writes www.landbrugsAvisen.dk

In the middle of last century when the farm was at its peak, there were about 400 people engaged in, among other cattle operations, but poor infrastructure meant that the farm could not compete – and closed.

Recently, brought through roads, and passing power to the area, and thus all the prerequisites are present for the re-farming on the farm.

A Danish farming client said he saw this article in his local Blog. I have translated it. What is interesting is the video of a Peruvian Sugar Cane project which is located in extremely dry conditions on the other side of the Andes. Some of the land in Estancia Punta del Agua is like this only the soils are better and there is more rainfall.
