Argentina has the most Golf Courses in Latin America

As any well-bred Scotsman will tell you the mark of a civilised country is the number of golf courses it has. Well, in Latin America there is no competition. Argentina has 75% of the golf courses in the continent. In the past 10 years, 50 new major courses have been constructed for the 120,000 plus players that are resident in Argentina plus the 1,000s of golf tourists that now come to play from the exterior.

This compares with only 12,000 players in Brazil many of whom also play in Argentina. Costs vary from public courses, for example, the Buenos Aires Palermo City course costs around USD 22  a round to the luxury fully inclusive city courses around USD 40 dollars. The least cost way of playing is to stay close by one of the serviced apartments that are available. Many tourists keen on golf will also visit the South where for example in the world-famous Llao Llao Resort in Bariloche you can take your non-playing partner or wife and enjoy the best of both worlds. You can play and your partner can pamper themselves.
